Welcome to the legivoc project Web site.

legivoc is a terminology database designed to facilitate the Member States' understanding of European Union (EU) laws and provide an interoperable terminology system to be used in particular within the framework of legal computer-based projects regarding the access to EU Member States' laws and the promotion of legal exchanges of information between European networks for legal or judicial cooperation.

In an internationalised environment, legivoc will help to rationalise legal information processing, ultimately allowing easier information research processes as well as a better understanding of foreign laws on a structured, yet legally diverse, European scene.

The legivoc project has been initiated and is managed by the French Ministry of Justice, with ARMINES and MINES ParisTech as scientific partners.
